Clear County Journal

Editorial policy

Clear County Journal aims to be useful, accurate and clear about what is known, what varies and what needs checking. Our explanations are editorial work, not official guidance or a substitute for information from the relevant public body.

Accuracy and clarity

We check factual statements against suitable source material before publication and distinguish explanation from opinion. We avoid unsupported claims, use plain language and identify local variation where it matters. If a point cannot be established clearly, we narrow the wording or leave it out.

Independence

Editorial choices are made for readers, not to secure favourable coverage for a partner or contributor. A commercial relationship does not determine our conclusions, categories or coverage. We do not imply endorsement by a public body or any other organisation.

Corrections

Readers can report a possible error through the Contact page. We review the claim, correct material errors and make the revised wording clear where appropriate. A correction should improve the reader's understanding, not merely tidy a sentence.

Partner material and illustrations

Paid or partner-supported material is identified clearly where it appears and kept distinct from independent editorial articles. Some illustrations are AI-generated; where used, they are labelled and are not presented as documentary photographs.
